Complementary Metaresonator Sensor with Dual Notch Resonance for Evaluation of Vegetable Oils in C and X Bands

This paper investigates the effect of complementary metaresonator for evaluation vegetable oils in C and X bands. Tremendously increasing technology demands exploration metaresonators high performance related research probes mirror-symmetric S resonator (CMSSR) that can operate two bands with compact size sensitivity features. The prime motivation behind proposed technique is to utilize dual notch resonance estimate dielectric constant oil under test (OUT). sensor designed on a 30×25 mm2 1.6 mm thick FR-4 substrate. A 50 Ω microstrip transmission line printed one side, while unit cell CMSSR etched other side substrate achieve resonance. Teflon container attached ground plane act as pool OUT. According simulated spectrum, design manifested precisely at 7.21 GHz (C band) 8.97 (X band). prototype fabricated tested using CEYEAR AV3672D vector network analyzer. comparison measured data shows difference between first frequency 0.01 second 0.04 GHz. Furthermore, mathematical model developed evaluate OUT terms relevant, resonant frequency.
